What an expensive weekend out in Vegas. Literally prices are jacked up to 4x the regular price....which are already jacked

Meltzer said this will most likely be at the mgm grand.

He also said this show is going to be TWENTY FOUR times more expensive to run this show than the first due to how much it costs to rent a hotel for a convention in Vegas.

Good lord why even bother. I can’t imagine them making money on this.

Yea sounds right. I'd be shocked to see many people travel to this as flights and hotel alone will be 2k and above. Maybe they will draw a more CA crowd.

Doing it on Memorial Day Weekend drives up the flight costs a ton - not only for fans flying in, but for flying in talent for the show.

I think Conrad Thompson has special rates going on for rooms/flights.

Even with special rates Vegas and airlines are not slashing prices. It is one of if not the most profitable weekend for them

With regards to fans, they probably are relying on people local and within driving distance from California who are trying to find something to do on a 3 day weekend.

It amazes me that wrestling still attracts grifter pieces of shit like Conrad Thompson.

Sounds like Sting was added...

Meltzer said on WOR that they are trying for some really, really surprising/intriguing names. He doesn't know if they'll pull it off but they are trying.

Other than maybe flying in old legends from Japan who never come to the US, how many legitimately "really, really surprising/intriguing" names are realistically left for a wrestling con?

wow, why the hate on Conrad Thompson? Yes, the wrestling biz has been and will always be a dirty biz, but I'm not sure for the hate on a guy who took an opportunity and doing very well with great fan-friendly podcasts and having an influence in the industry. Seems like a decent guy but I only know him from listening to his podcasts way before he blew up with Pritchard, Bischoff, and Tony S and then the Starrcast deal?

Conrad reads old WON and allows guys like Bischoff and Prichard to shit all over Dave -- and they almost always lie, too. Bischoff just rants about Dave and cries "fake news" about shit that makes him look bad. That's my biggest gripe with Conrad but I don't know much about his history prior to these podcasts
