So I saw the promoter mention Albany, and seems like the March/April time frame of Big Event. Obviously my first skepticism is that Butch would leave NZ for this. With COVID, it's extremely difficult to leave NZ or Australia, you basically have to get government approval. On return you have to quarantine for weeks in a hotel. Secondly, I cannot fathom the state of New York allowing large gatherings by then. Perhaps a Wrestling Universe-style M&G, where it's just the Bushwackers. Color me a skeptic.

I assume they'll probably do WU, which they actually did in the late 90s (before I ever stepped foot in that store). I just saw in Albany they'll bring along Jamison, who was the sidekick on the Bobby Heenan Show & also managed them for a bit. I'd imagine travel could be hard for Butch, but chances are they'll have a vaccine by then & I imagine Butch would qualify for an early shot date.

Firstly, Butch would not be in line for a vaccine in the United States, since he doesn't live here. Secondly, vaccines will not be in wide enough rollout by spring. The Heroes Hideout event might happen (one just did last weekend) because it's a store and they can limit the number of people who enter. Granted having either guy maskless at that type of event indoors is patently ridiculous.

This signing is probably 6 years too late firstly considering covid but also because promoters should have tried to capitalize on their HOF induction. And considering covid now and it being 6 years later, what makes Butch able or willing to do a U.S. signing schedule now versus over the last 5-10 years? Like why, covid or no covid but especially covid would Butch decide now he wants to do something?

I believe they are going to release their autobiography by then.

I didn't mean the vaccine here, I'd imagine NZ/Australia will get the vaccine around the same time as us.

I thought Butch lived in Puerto Rico since the early 2000s.

Is that accurate about the book? Either way, maybe Luke is broke and Butch is bailing him out?

Whether Butch is vaccinated or not is not my point. I'm saying gatherings like Big Event may still be banned, but in-store appearances like Heroes Hideout probably won't be.

I 100% agree on Big Event, no way they could hold an event of that magnitude without the vaccine being available to everyone. Yes on the autobiography, Luke said something on Facebook a while back.

Am I the only one that sees ZERO chance of this happening in March? Late April ok. May looking good at this early stage. June definitely.

Hope I am wrong.

I can see them ending up at the Wrestling Universe on Saturday, March 6th because there is no way the Big Event is happening that day.

Those prices really are wacky. I guess if you look at it as potentially the last signing tour they'll do in the US though, it'll be worth it to some.

The prices a bit high but like said this may be the last signing they ever do. The price of flight for Butch may also be higher than any other flight for wrestlers who live in the U.S. and do signings. It also may take more money to convince Butch to do an appearance. It isn't so much the Butch price for single auto as it is the price for Luke single but with Butch's price it might be embarassing to Luke to put his price $30+ less than Butch's as it normally would be.
