God Bless America Screening 05/12/2012
User evilgenius attended a screening of a new movie and sent us this cool report! I went to see a special screening of Bobcat Goldthwait's new movie God Bless America starring Joel Murray and Tara Lynne Barr the other night. The movie was really funny, kind of a weird update of the Michael Douglas film "Falling Down" from the early 90s. Afterwards there was a Q&A with Bobcat and the two leads. Bobcat and I talked for bit about the music in the film and I told Joel I really missed his character on Mad Men, to which he responded that he might pop up soon rather than later. A fun night made even better because it was free. Add Comment This meet actually took place the same day that I met Jason Segel, but I wanted to wait until I got the photo op to report on it, so I held my tongue until now. A few weeks ago, Lanza and I went to a Steiner Sports event in New York City which featured a live interview with 2x Super Bowl MVP Quarterback Eli Manning, and salsa dancing wide receiver Victor Cruz, both from my beloved Giants. This event was hosted by Brandon Steiner, owner of Steiner sports. Now the reason we went, wasn't for the discussion, but for the post discussion cocktail party which offered most importantly, a photo with Eli Manning and Victor Cruz. I already have Cruz, but Eli is such a rare name and such a huge want, I had to do it even with the repeat name. As you all know, I met Jason Segel prior to this, so I had to really haul ass from that spot to reach the venue for this event, seeing as I had 10 mins to reach my venue and nearly 15 blocks to travel. I was so behind thanks to waiting on Segel, I actually changed my shirt on 8th avenue in front of a restaurant. Sadly I wasn't afforded the luxury of a calm and dignified change of clothes, but I made do with what I had. It was funny, and I got a few perplexed stares, which just adds to my story. The Q/A was good, some funny moments, more interesting than many of the wrestling ones I've sat through. I won't go into that too much, but I have quite a few event photos posted on the main page, but I will post one here for you all to easily see. Once this was done, we were all told to go downstairs into the private VIP cocktail hour which included Chase Blackburn and Otis Anderson, two Giants from the past and present. Once inside, I quickly went over to the line to get photos with Eli and Victor, which moved pretty efficiently. They weren't allowing own cameras which sucked, given my having to wait a few weeks to actually see the photo, but it was understandable given the nature of the event. I walked up to Eli, shook his hand and told him it was great to meet him, he was friendlier than I expected. Victor was as cool as he was the last time, and I also shook his hand. After that we had some h'orderves and went over to see Chase Blackburn who was at a table mingling. Chase and Otis were billed as surprises to the crowd, and most seemed surprised, but Lanza and I knew ahead of time and came prepared with items for each. I got Chase on a photo from his interception in the Super Bowl this year. Chase was super cool and gladly added the SB Champs inscription upon request. We then had more h'orderves and mingled a bit, before moving onto Otis Anderson who was talking to a some hot chicks as we reached him. Otis was more quiet than Chase, but he was nice, gladly signing and posing for a photo op at his table. The event was a lot of fun, but the wait for the photo was brutal, we were told 5-10 business days, but it ended up being longer and the phone calls I made weren't very helpful, but luckily they showed up this afternoon. It was a thrill meeting Eli Manning finally, sadly this wasn't an autograph event so I still need him on my football, but at least a photo is no longer a need, which is the hardest part. Event PhotosNYC & NJ Mega Celebrity Report! 05/09/2012
User latinoheat578 met a TON of celebrities/athletes/wrestlers and sent us a ton of great photos. I put 10 on here, but urge you to click the below link to visit the forum and see the rest of the great photos! http://forum.markedout.com//viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10270 Little long... sorry guys but hope you check this out and enjoy Rather than post 3-4 different treads I figured I'd post them all in one. Attended a bunch of cool event over the past couple of weeks. Just wanted to share some photos, signatures and experiences where applicable... enjoy Georges St. Pierre - By far my biggest UFC want. Never met him before. Had found out the morning of that he would be appearing in NYC. Was told he would only be signing store-provided 8x10s and no posed photos. Well had no luck on getting my own item done but he had no problems taking quick over the table photos. that to me meant more than the actual auto. Devon Gummesall - from My So-Called Life. Loved that show growing up. First attempt had bad lighting. Took a 2nd one later on. I think he was surprised he was even recognized Chris Rock... who simply refuses to look into a camera... ugh... Chris Daughtry Was able to meet him but his security said he had no time for photos that night, would only be signing. Bummed as Michelle and I were looking forward to getting a pic but optd to get our ticket subs signed Attened Chiller w/fellow board member.. MISHEDOUT... ahaha... decided makes life easy to both be in the photos to save money. Check the forum link to read the rest of this report! TNA Basebrawl - Visalia, CA 05/09/2012

User Murphy 3 met a ton of people and sent us these awesome photos! Enjoy! I started off Saturday morning at NASCAR driver Mark Martin's Ford Dealership for Fan Appreciation Day. He brought in Michael Waltrip to sign autographs. Mark signed 4 times during the day. I was there for 3 of them. Clint Bowyer - He showed up unannounced, so I wasn't prepared for him. Mark Martin Michael Waltrip Also, my father went to the race in Talladega this weekend. He doesn't do a lot of autographs when he goes, but he brought me back a few. Danica Patrick Brad Keselowski, who won the race. He also went to the Nationwide Series Autograph Session. Justin Allgaier, Michael Annett, Jason Bowles, TJ Bell, Jeremy Clements, Austin Dillon, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Timmy Hill, Sam Hornish, Johanna Long, Elliott Sadler, Brian Scott, Brad Sweet, and Ryan Truex. When I finished with the NASCAR guys, I made my way to a wrestling show that was sort of on the way to Dallas. On the way there, I got a text from my friend that was going to go with me on the trip. He was in the emergency room with his girlfriend who had somehow broken her leg playing kickball, yes I said kickball, so I would be making the trip by myself. Sunny was the promoted "name" on the show. She had been no-showing all of her appearances lately, but I had cards for the two other girls on the show that were on loan from Harley Race's promotion in Missouri, so I decided to go anyway. Sunny showed up, so I got the in ring photo with Special Guest Referee-suited Sunny and had her sign an old photo op. I stuck around after the show to get the Missouri girls to sign their cards. A lot of times it's more satisfying for me to catch up with an obscure name I need than an active member of the WWE roster. Miss Natural Stacey O'Brien I didn't need Matt Borne, Chris Cruise, Bobby Eaton, or Ricky Morton. I drove a little while, got a hotel, then finished the drive to Dallas on Sunday morning. I'm not a horror fan, but this show had enough mainstream names to get me there. This was the third and final day of the convention, so I knew people would probably start leaving to catch flights before I could get everyone. I hit 11 out of my 12 targets. Only Clint Howard got away. Ernest Borgnine - As I sat down to take the photo, and he said, "Let's see those eyes." I tend to wear my hat kind of low, so I pushed it up to a more acceptable level. He said, "No, no, no, like this" and pushed it to the top of my head. We took the photo and looked at it. He said, "See? That's better, right?" and smacked me in the face. Anthony Michael Hall James Hamption Danielle Harris Traci Lords - It was her birthday. Scott Schwartz was there to present her with a cake. Michael Madsen - He told me I had the same name as his old manager, and they used to get into a lot of trouble together. He disappeared in Mexico and never came back. Charlie O'Connell - He was signing for free, which my wallet appreciated. Rowdy Roddy Piper - He was the main reason I went to this show. He kept pushing the button on the figure that plays his entrance music and said that it warmed his heart. Jennifer Runyon - I remember her from Charles in Charge and as the replacement Cindy Brady in the Very Brady Christmas TV movie. P.J. Soles - She signed my photo op for free, so I bought another photo from her to get signed. Verne Troyer - My top want at the show besides Piper. This is going to sound stupid, but he was smaller than I thought he was going to be. Piper was the only one I really had to wait in line for. I got there at about 11:30 and was out by 2:00. I ran into Anthony Burris there. Dog The Bounty Hunter 05/09/2012
User HollywoodsGreatest met Dog The Bounty Hunter and sent us this awesome report! Enjoy! Last Thursday April 26th 2 brothers that are bail bondsmen here in Bakersfield were shot & killed apprehending a fugitive. Almost immediately, Dog the Bounty Hunter got on Twitter asking for leads, & stating he was heading to Bakersfield to help in the search. Luckily the BPD found the killer early Saturday morning, & captured him, but at this point Dog was already in town. What is funny, is I had just been in Hawaii for 10 days in March, & had spent some time at Dog's office trying to meet him. And now that I was home, he was coming to Bakersfield. Saturday it was all over Facebook that he was in town. Photos of him at the BPD, & other places popped up everywhere. I found out thru a friend where he was staying. So went over there Sunday morning, & had breakfast as soon as I got off work. Which was a smart move, as he came in at 720am to get coffee for the road with a producer & camera guy from his show. As they were leaving for LA to fly home. Was a nice guy, when I mentioned I had spent nearly $150 on shirts & other stuff at his gift shop next door to his ofice (was more realistically like $115, but hey so what if I rounded up a bit, lol) he joked, "In that case I;ll gladly take all the photos you want." User mrira met some wrestlers and sent us this awesome report! Enjoy! I decided to head out to the Bret Hart & Jillian Hall signing at Wrestling Universe today, I arrived at WU at about 10:40 for the 11 AM signing. 11 comes around Bret & Jillian hadn't arrived yet, 11:15 still nothing. Bret & Jillian didn't arrive until just after 12 (after speaking to the driver, it turned out 2 drivers were waiting around for Bret, Jillian, Demolition & Maria to take them to signings down here in Queens & Demolition wasn't staying at the hotel, so everyone was late). Bret & Jillian started signing right away, I didn't get in until about 1PM. For those who know WU, Bret was signing in the Classic figures room. Bret was nice as usual & very cordial with everyone. Jillian was in the back room & since it was my first time meeting her, I was happy she was pleasant & standing up the whole time. FMLL - Lucha Libre Wrestling in California! 05/09/2012
User evilgenius met some Lucha Libre stars and sent us this awesome report! Enjoy! A couple weeks back I went to an FMLL show out here. It was the same as when I met La Parka a year back-if you bought a vip ticket(which was only 5 bucks more) you were guaranteed a photo with one of the fly in talent. Dr. Wagner Jr was gonna be there so it was a no brainer. Luckily after the show his opponent Rayo de Jalisco Jr.(another huge Lucha star) decided to hang out at a table and sign and take pictures. Neither Wagner picture that was taken turned out great but between the two I have no complaints. That's what happens when nobody speaks English and I don't speak Spanish! Last night I went to another show where the promoter was bringing in a bunch of CMLL stars. The show was promoted horribly as only about 50 fans were there, which is unusual for Lucha shows out here. I had wanted to meet Volador Jr but he had Visa problems and was replaced by La Mascara which was fine by me because he is a great talent as well. I had already met Rey and Aguila before but their facepaint made it a must to get an upgrade. I had also met Ultimo Guererro in Texas years ago but the picture was pretty bad so an upgrade for him was a no brainer as well. All 4 signed after the show although I had to slink past security to get Ultimo on the steps up to the dressing room! I had plans to hit another Lucha show after this one was finished but unfortunately this one started 2 hours late so there was no chance to attend the other one. TNA in Bakersfield, CA! 05/09/2012
User HollywoodsGreatest met some members of the TNA roster in Bakersfield and sent us this awesome report!! So TNA Impact held their 2nd ever show last night here in Bakersfield, Ca. Was nice to see them finally come back, as their only other show here was on Nov. 2nd, 2008. We started out the day hanging out @ my work. We were there for a few hours, & never saw any. Turns out they had all stayed in LA the night b4 after the show in Ontario. The preshow meet & greet was starting @ 530pm, so at 3pm we finally decided to just over to the arena & see if anything was going on around there. As soon as we arrived we checked the hippo next door, & much to our surprise, Jeff Hardy was 1st checking into the hippo. As always Jeff was very friendly, signed all of our WWE E's & posed for photos. So we just hung out. I had seen on Twitter Kurt Angle had tweeted he was driving to Bakersfield, about an hour and a half b4 that, so we figured he'd be arriving at the arena any time. & as Jeff had told us they were all staying there after the show & driving to Visalia today, we likely would see Kurt checking into the hippo too. Sure enough right on cue, Kurt came in. Also signed all of our WWE E's, & posed for photos. Jeff Hardy: Kurt Angle: Almost immediately after Kurt was done, the hippo manager who'd been standing around the entire time we were there, told everyone we had to leave. There was us 4, & maybe 10 or so other fans there. We really didn't mind, as at least the only 2 we had got, were the 2 biggest names on the card. So we headed back to my house til the preshow meet & greet. We had all got the $50 tickets, as they included the preshow VIP meet & greet with the TNA stars. We arrived right at 530pm, & Don West was standing outside giving his whole spill to everyone. Saying if you bought the Hardy/AJ twin pack of figures for $20, you'd get to go backstage for a private meet with Jeff, & he'd sign it for you. Also had 30 VIP backstage passes you could buy for $100, & get backstage during intermission, to meet the stars like Angle, Joe, & Robert Roode, that wouldn't be out or the preshow meet & greet. 1 good thing about the VIP backstage passes is, if you buy 1, they're good for you & a friend. I didn't buy 1, but a friend did. And took me with them. So eventually we made our way inside. They allowed enough time to make sure everyone in the preshow meet had bought anything they wanted at the merchandise booth, b4 they brought out any of the stars. I had heard they wouldn't be allowing the stars to sign anything that's not official TNA merchandise. Especially WWE stuff, including in Ontario the night b4, Atlas security supposedly were real sticklers about it.. I took my WWE E just in case. They had us all line up around the barricades, & basically the stars came out, & started @ different points along the railing, & just worked their way all the way around getting everyone. They were all really cool. Posing & signing. I had no issue at all getting Anderson, Tara, & the Pope to sign my WWE E. Tara was the only 1 who said anything, said she wasn't sure they were allowed to. She asked Anderson who was only a few away & had already signed it for me, & he said he didn't care. He was going to sign them. So she went ahead & signed mine. But I know she raised hell every time anyone allow the railing asked her to sign anything WWE related. I heard she basically took care of everyone with WWE stuff, just gave them hell each time. AJ & Hernandez were originally scheduled for the show, but RVD replaced AJ, & Gunner replaced Hernandez, which made me really happy, as Gunner & Crimson are basically the only 2 people I still need in TNA. So I was very happy when he came out for the meet & greet. Tara: Gunner: Anderson: The Pope: At some point they also had Kaz & Daniels come out to the merchandise booth. They really wanted you to buy something to get them, but they still would take pics or sign if you asked. Kazarian: Daniels: They also did the Hardy figure signing b4 the show backstage. They rushed everyone through. He wouldn't pose at all. I believe you were allowed to have him sign 1 other item other then the figure set. I do know they were making sure it wasn't anything not TNA related. I have to say even at $20, TNA made a killing off the Hardy figure sales. Just b4 the show, I noticed someone who looked a hell of a lot like former UFC & WCW star Tank Abbott with his family sitting about 10 feet from me. I Googled him, & was 100% sure after seeing a few pics, that it was him. I know Chuck Liddel & his kids were also in attendance, but that isn't anything new. Chuck lives about an hour & a half from town, & is always at all the major concerts & WWE shows here. So as soon as intermission started I walked over & asked Tank if he was Tank Abbott, he said, "No sorry I am not." So I replied oh I am sorry, & started to away, & the lady with him, stopped me, & said, "No it's really him, he's messing with you." So I asked if I could get a photo, and he said sure. Tank Abbott: So we got to go backstage for the VIP backstage pass meets, & Angle, Joe, Magnus, & Robert Roode were there. I skipped Angle's line, as we had got him earlier. I was pissed Roode didn't have the belt with him. Asked where the belt was, he said he didn't even want to be out here, sure wasn't going to bring his belt for the fans to put their hands all over it. Joe just had his belt laying on a table behind him. At least Magnus was holdhing his. Bobby Roode: Magnus: Samoa Joe: As we were waiitng in line for Joe, Traci Brooks came walking into where they had everyone, headed back out to her seat. Even though she's no longer with TNA, knowing she's married to Kaz, & they live in LA, we figured, she'd be there. Sure enough she was sitting up in the stands with Daniels' wife watching the show. She was more then happy to pose for a photo, if you asked. The lady who took the pic had the quote of the night, "I made sure to get as much of her cleavage, in the photo as possible for you!" LOL! This was a lady saying this. Classic! Traci Brooks: During intermission Winter was also at the merchandise table, but I've met her many times, have her in my WWE E already, & she had a long line, so she was an easy pass for me. Earl & Brian Hebner were also sitting there, selling Earl's, "Damn Right I Did" shirts. Earl signed my WWE E & they both posed with me for a photo. Earl & Brian Hebner: Overall the show was pretty good, Much better then the last TNA show here. The new TNA 10th Anniversary programs are really cool. Much nicer then the WWE programs. The tag match of Magnus & Joe vs. Kaz & Daniels was definitely the match of the night, Tara vs. Winter was a close 2nd, & RVD vs. Roode was a distant 3rd. I was really impressed with Gunner. He has a lot of talent, & a great look. I def see him becoming a huge star over time. The band who plays RVD's entrance theme was there, & played him out live, & again after the match. After the show they did the $20 in ring photos with RVD. Not bad price, especially since they would let everyone in your group get in the ring for the photo with you. It wasn't $20 per person. We chose to skip it, & try our luck out back. Sure enough we got Rob to sign out WWE E's, & photos with him leaving the arena. RVD: What a great night. JB said they'd definitely would be back. But I wouldn't hold my breathe, I don't think there was but maybe between 400 or 500 fans there tops. They did a killing on the Hardy figured, & the in ring RVD photos. Of course the fact 99% of the RVD photos were groups of 4 or 5 people, they might not have made as much off them, as it would appear. They did pretty well off the ringside $50 ticket sales, but there was a lot still available in my section alone, there was less then 10 people. There was only 3 o us in the front row of my section. Rowdy Roddy Piper in Dallas, TX 05/08/2012
User anthonyburris met Roddy Piper in Dallas and sent us this awesome report! Let me start off by saying I love the tweets from @markedout, just a new way to post success. Went to Frightmare show here at DFW Airport Hyatt to meet WWE HOF Roddy Piper. Having met Piper once before (it was a random meet at a book store and all I got was a IC since I didn't know he was gonna be there) it was cool to upgrade a pic and sig from him. Since this was a horror show it was 99% him signing stuff from They Live and till me and my friend showed up with WWE items he said the only WWE things he had signed all weekend was books. I had the shot of him from Wrestlemania 25 against Jericho (he had never seen it before and wanted a copy of it) he was telling us about the match and how cool it was to be back in ring etc. His price was pretty good $25 for sig and $35 cumbo (but since he wanted the pic we traded the jpeg for a free pic with him). I also got 3 cast members on a Tombstone poster for a board member here. Here are the pics. Thanks for reading Couldn't take to many candid pics as they were anal about taking pics without paying | This is a small glimpse of the reports our users submit to us about their encounters.
