On Friday I went to an indy show by my house, ECPW (East Coast Championship Wrestling). I got there about 45 minutes early to get front row, but that was all taken. Admission was $12. I mainly went just to see former WCW talent Crowbar (Tempest of TNA and Devon Storm/Crowbar in WWE for a little).

Since they had no front row, I roamed around, grabbed a few beers at the Elks Lodge bar, and talked to the guy at the merch table. I asked if it would be possible to get something signed by Crowbar, I told him I would gladly pay. He told me he’d look into it. I grabbed a few 50/50 raffle tickets and took a seat. The matches were OAK, but I was shocked how many fans there were. Easily 100+, and that’s lowballing. It was a “TV Taping” but I cant find it on my cable listing.

Anyway, after 3 matches the ring announcer announces “Will The Guy With The Crowbar please go to the merch table”, I go over and they ask for my crowbar. I ask if I can get it signed myself, and the guy says no problem. I go in the back to where the wrestlers are prepping. Crowbar comes over, I thank him and tell him I’m a big fan. I ask him if I can pay him, and he says absolutely not. He signs the crowbar, and we take a pic. As he poses he cuts my chin with the crowbar. I took a crowbar to the face, from Crowbar! I grab my seat for his match; apparently he is the tag team champion. He has a pretty good match. At this point I would have left, but I had the raffle tickets. After they announce the winner (I was off by 3 numbers…and the winner wasn’t even there so they picked a 2nd ticket), I headed home.
