Lakewood Blueclaws Pre-Game Meet 05/12/2012
User Nicksfan23 went to a baseball game and sent us this awesome report! Enjoy! Went to the Blueclaws game today they are the low single-a affiliate for the Philadelphia Phillies and they had two pitchers signing before the game one was Mike Nesseth- He is a relief pitcher with the team and he did not get into today's game. Colton Murray- Another relief pitcher who did get into today's game and struckout one in an inning and gave up one hit and one walk but no runs. Pretty decent pitcher. but good to have them because with Minor League players you never know on some of them. This meet actually took place the same day that I met Jason Segel, but I wanted to wait until I got the photo op to report on it, so I held my tongue until now. A few weeks ago, Lanza and I went to a Steiner Sports event in New York City which featured a live interview with 2x Super Bowl MVP Quarterback Eli Manning, and salsa dancing wide receiver Victor Cruz, both from my beloved Giants. This event was hosted by Brandon Steiner, owner of Steiner sports. Now the reason we went, wasn't for the discussion, but for the post discussion cocktail party which offered most importantly, a photo with Eli Manning and Victor Cruz. I already have Cruz, but Eli is such a rare name and such a huge want, I had to do it even with the repeat name. As you all know, I met Jason Segel prior to this, so I had to really haul ass from that spot to reach the venue for this event, seeing as I had 10 mins to reach my venue and nearly 15 blocks to travel. I was so behind thanks to waiting on Segel, I actually changed my shirt on 8th avenue in front of a restaurant. Sadly I wasn't afforded the luxury of a calm and dignified change of clothes, but I made do with what I had. It was funny, and I got a few perplexed stares, which just adds to my story. The Q/A was good, some funny moments, more interesting than many of the wrestling ones I've sat through. I won't go into that too much, but I have quite a few event photos posted on the main page, but I will post one here for you all to easily see. Once this was done, we were all told to go downstairs into the private VIP cocktail hour which included Chase Blackburn and Otis Anderson, two Giants from the past and present. Once inside, I quickly went over to the line to get photos with Eli and Victor, which moved pretty efficiently. They weren't allowing own cameras which sucked, given my having to wait a few weeks to actually see the photo, but it was understandable given the nature of the event. I walked up to Eli, shook his hand and told him it was great to meet him, he was friendlier than I expected. Victor was as cool as he was the last time, and I also shook his hand. After that we had some h'orderves and went over to see Chase Blackburn who was at a table mingling. Chase and Otis were billed as surprises to the crowd, and most seemed surprised, but Lanza and I knew ahead of time and came prepared with items for each. I got Chase on a photo from his interception in the Super Bowl this year. Chase was super cool and gladly added the SB Champs inscription upon request. We then had more h'orderves and mingled a bit, before moving onto Otis Anderson who was talking to a some hot chicks as we reached him. Otis was more quiet than Chase, but he was nice, gladly signing and posing for a photo op at his table. The event was a lot of fun, but the wait for the photo was brutal, we were told 5-10 business days, but it ended up being longer and the phone calls I made weren't very helpful, but luckily they showed up this afternoon. It was a thrill meeting Eli Manning finally, sadly this wasn't an autograph event so I still need him on my football, but at least a photo is no longer a need, which is the hardest part. Event PhotosNYC & NJ Mega Celebrity Report! 05/09/2012
User latinoheat578 met a TON of celebrities/athletes/wrestlers and sent us a ton of great photos. I put 10 on here, but urge you to click the below link to visit the forum and see the rest of the great photos! http://forum.markedout.com//viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10270 Little long... sorry guys but hope you check this out and enjoy Rather than post 3-4 different treads I figured I'd post them all in one. Attended a bunch of cool event over the past couple of weeks. Just wanted to share some photos, signatures and experiences where applicable... enjoy Georges St. Pierre - By far my biggest UFC want. Never met him before. Had found out the morning of that he would be appearing in NYC. Was told he would only be signing store-provided 8x10s and no posed photos. Well had no luck on getting my own item done but he had no problems taking quick over the table photos. that to me meant more than the actual auto. Devon Gummesall - from My So-Called Life. Loved that show growing up. First attempt had bad lighting. Took a 2nd one later on. I think he was surprised he was even recognized Chris Rock... who simply refuses to look into a camera... ugh... Chris Daughtry Was able to meet him but his security said he had no time for photos that night, would only be signing. Bummed as Michelle and I were looking forward to getting a pic but optd to get our ticket subs signed Attened Chiller w/fellow board member.. MISHEDOUT... ahaha... decided makes life easy to both be in the photos to save money. Check the forum link to read the rest of this report! Texas Frightmare Weekend 05/09/2012
User Murphy 3 met a ton of people and sent us these awesome photos! Enjoy! I started off Saturday morning at NASCAR driver Mark Martin's Ford Dealership for Fan Appreciation Day. He brought in Michael Waltrip to sign autographs. Mark signed 4 times during the day. I was there for 3 of them. Clint Bowyer - He showed up unannounced, so I wasn't prepared for him. Mark Martin Michael Waltrip Also, my father went to the race in Talladega this weekend. He doesn't do a lot of autographs when he goes, but he brought me back a few. Danica Patrick Brad Keselowski, who won the race. He also went to the Nationwide Series Autograph Session. Justin Allgaier, Michael Annett, Jason Bowles, TJ Bell, Jeremy Clements, Austin Dillon, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Timmy Hill, Sam Hornish, Johanna Long, Elliott Sadler, Brian Scott, Brad Sweet, and Ryan Truex. When I finished with the NASCAR guys, I made my way to a wrestling show that was sort of on the way to Dallas. On the way there, I got a text from my friend that was going to go with me on the trip. He was in the emergency room with his girlfriend who had somehow broken her leg playing kickball, yes I said kickball, so I would be making the trip by myself. Sunny was the promoted "name" on the show. She had been no-showing all of her appearances lately, but I had cards for the two other girls on the show that were on loan from Harley Race's promotion in Missouri, so I decided to go anyway. Sunny showed up, so I got the in ring photo with Special Guest Referee-suited Sunny and had her sign an old photo op. I stuck around after the show to get the Missouri girls to sign their cards. A lot of times it's more satisfying for me to catch up with an obscure name I need than an active member of the WWE roster. Miss Natural Stacey O'Brien I didn't need Matt Borne, Chris Cruise, Bobby Eaton, or Ricky Morton. I drove a little while, got a hotel, then finished the drive to Dallas on Sunday morning. I'm not a horror fan, but this show had enough mainstream names to get me there. This was the third and final day of the convention, so I knew people would probably start leaving to catch flights before I could get everyone. I hit 11 out of my 12 targets. Only Clint Howard got away. Ernest Borgnine - As I sat down to take the photo, and he said, "Let's see those eyes." I tend to wear my hat kind of low, so I pushed it up to a more acceptable level. He said, "No, no, no, like this" and pushed it to the top of my head. We took the photo and looked at it. He said, "See? That's better, right?" and smacked me in the face. Anthony Michael Hall James Hamption Danielle Harris Traci Lords - It was her birthday. Scott Schwartz was there to present her with a cake. Michael Madsen - He told me I had the same name as his old manager, and they used to get into a lot of trouble together. He disappeared in Mexico and never came back. Charlie O'Connell - He was signing for free, which my wallet appreciated. Rowdy Roddy Piper - He was the main reason I went to this show. He kept pushing the button on the figure that plays his entrance music and said that it warmed his heart. Jennifer Runyon - I remember her from Charles in Charge and as the replacement Cindy Brady in the Very Brady Christmas TV movie. P.J. Soles - She signed my photo op for free, so I bought another photo from her to get signed. Verne Troyer - My top want at the show besides Piper. This is going to sound stupid, but he was smaller than I thought he was going to be. Piper was the only one I really had to wait in line for. I got there at about 11:30 and was out by 2:00. I ran into Anthony Burris there. UFC in New Jersey! 05/08/2012
User latinoheat578 sent us all of his awesome photo ops from the UFC event in New Jersey this past weekend. There are too many photos to save and upload here, so please click the below link to view them all on the forum. http://forum.markedout.com//viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10262 User jwill55nets sent us this awesome report from UFC in New Jersey! There was so many photos, I only put a few on this report and will link you to the forum post to see all the rest. It is truly an amazing haul. http://forum.markedout.com//viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10243 UFC was in town this week for the Miller/Diaz card, and I had been looking forward to and planning for this weekend for months. I started my hunting on Tuesday. To keep this report somewhat organized and as brief as I can while still giving a report I will organize what I received by day. TUESDAY Started off pretty quick within a few minutes of my arrival, fighters began showing up. The only ones I got autos from on Day 1 but not photos with were Josh Koscheck (because he as a fucking prick all weekend) and Alan Belcher (because I chose to get an autograph from somebody else instead of missing that chance). All of the fighters (except Koscheck) were more than willing on this day to take photos and sign almost everything, multiples were hardly ever an issue. They were all friendly, especially Ronda Rousey who talked with us for a while, and borrowed a cell charger. The ops I got on Day 1: Danny Castillo, Dennis Bermudez, John Dodson, John Hathaway, Karlos Vemola, Lavar Johnson, Michael Johnson, Nick Pace , Pablo Garza, Ronda Rousey, and Rousimar Palhares. Autographs were: Danny Castillo, Dennis Bermudez, John Dodson, John Hathaway, John Hendricks, Josh Koscheck, Karlos Vemola, Lavar Johnson, Michael Johnson, Mike Goldberg, Nick Denis, Pablo Garza, Pat Barry, Ronda Rousey, and Rousimar Palhares. WEDNESDAY I went to a free signing with Ronda Rousey and Frankie Edgar, I got them each on 2 there. I obviously have a picture with Ronda, and I have one with Frankie but it isn’t great. I was going to do a retake, but he was sitting next to Ronda, and wasn’t standing for ops, so I didn’t even think it would be a good upgrade. I saw when I got home that Frankie personalized one to Marcus and the other to Marcs (forgot the u). Later on I went back to the spot, and continued with the success I had the prior night. There were many repeats, but I wanted to get my ops signed with any of them so it was ok. Got photos with Nate Diaz, Eddie Alvarez , Burt Watson , Eddie Alvarez , Mike Dolce , Mike Massenzio, Burt Watson , John Lineker, Justin Buchholz , Tony Ferguson, and Murilo Bustamante. Got autographs from Danny Castillo, John Dodson, John Hathaway, John Lineker, Johny Hendricks, Karlos Vemola, Lavar Johnson, Michael Johnson, Mike Massenzio, Nick Pace, Pablo Garza, Pat Barry, Ronda Rousey, Rousimar Palhares, Nate Diaz, Alan Belcher and Tony Ferguson. THURSDAY This was the slowest, since I had done a lot of damage the 2 days before. This is also when security starting getting a little tougher, and the spot began to blow up. However there were still some great gets to be got. Got photos with Alan Belcher, Brian Stann , Clay Guida , Frankie Edgar , Jon Fitch , Michael Bisping , Nick Denis, Roland Delorme, Tim Boetsch , and Tim Elliott. Autographs from Alan Belcher, Burt Watson, Clay Guida, Dennis Bermudez, John Lineker, Lavar Johnson, Michael Bisping, Mike Dolce, Mike Massenzio, Murilo Bustamante, Randy Couture, and Roland Delorme. FRIDAY They had set up ropes to keep us outside, but that didn’t last very long. It was back to how it had been the whole time, and within an hour we were back inside. At this point I had ops with almost everybody on the card. I was only missing Pascal Krauss, John Cholish (who wasn’t around at all because he didn’t take off time from his day job of being a commodities trader), and Josh Koscheck (because he sucks and kept sneaking out). I left around 6 on Thursday to go get dinner and assumed that would be in for the day. Photos with Leon Tabbs, Joseph Benavidez (a HUGE want), Don House & Pascal Kraus. Leon Tabbs Autographs from: Arianny Celeste, Bruce Buffer, Clay Guida, Jacob ‘Stitch’ Duran, Joseph Benavidez, Justin Buchholz, Kenda Perez, Michael Bisping, Nate Diaz, Nick Denis, Pascal Krauss, Roland Delorme, Tim Elliott, and Tony Ferguson. FRIDAY NIGHT I had an urge to go back and I am glad I did. I was able to find both Nate & Nick Diaz in a 2 on 1 (I was the only fan around) situation and they couldn’t have been nicer. I took a 2nd picture with Nate, as well as one with Nick (which was something we all had been trying for all week). I also got 2 autos from each. Also got a picture with UFC matchmaker Joe Silva. After getting pictures with Nick Diaz, Pascal Krauss and Joe Benavidez I was pretty much done with photos of people we knew would be around with the exception of Arianny (I am excluding Koscheck at this point). SATURDAY MORNING I first went to a Matt Serra appearance. It started at 10, I got there at 10:15 and was the only one. I went back to the spot to tie up some loose ends before the fights, got a few autographs and no photos. But I was only there for a short time. Got autos from Alan Belcher & Brian Stann. THE FIGHTS: I then went to the fights, and I had been a little bummed all week about my seats. I had originally bought tickets in the 2nd level 11th row from ticketmaster, so I paid $65 each. On stubhub this week better tickets on the level were selling for $15. I debated buying lowers for $80 each (face was $150) and then seeing if I could flip mine for anything. I ended up just keeping my tickets. I got up to my seats, and the lower level was totally empty. So I walked down and found myself some new seats in the first row behind the barricade where the fighters exit the cage. (after 7 fights people claimed those seats so we moved to 2nd row..which actually had a better view). $65 each for these seats was a steal! After the first match I was down there I got a corner man’s had from Roland Delorme, and Roland told me that he would give me his hat back at the spot. My favorite fighter on the card, Lou Gaudinot (which I had virgilized prior to this week) won his fight, and on the way out he spotted me (he had given me one of his walk out shirts earlier in the week) and it was great to see him so excited, a lose in this fight could have been his career. I got a corner hat from him too, and a nice bro-hug. Also got a good word with John Hathaway (who recognized me from the spot) after his fight. Later on Delorme in fact did keep his word and traded hats with me. SATURDAY NIGHT I went back to the spot just to see if there were any surprises, and of course..THERE WERE! Got a picture with Jon Jones! Also got one with Anthony Pettis, Pat Barry (post fight shot) and Arianny Celeste. Got autos from Arianny Celeste, Jon Fitch, Jon Jones, Joseph Benavidez, Louis Gaudinot (on the cornerman hat), Randy Couture, and Roland Delorme (on his fight hat). Decided to call it an early night. For the most part anybody I had a chance of getting I already had. My binder was pretty slim at this point, and Koscheck had already gone up to his room without signing or taking pictures. This ended my week. I am sure I made some typos, put some of the wrong pics up, etc. But I tried to be as accurate as I could. Overall I got 43 ops and 117 autographs! It was a great time, hope you enjoyed my report and it was great seeing everybody. New York Jets Charity Function 05/03/2012
User RJRWRESTLING attended this New York Jets charity function and sent us these awesome photos! Enjoy! I just got back from it. Only about 100 people there including me, Adam(F.M.) and my buddy Gerry. Truthfully you could have just walked in for free, but it's charity so Adam & I paid. Good kharma comes along way because I got 3 from Mark Sanchez alone. They all signed whatever you had(Full Sized Helmets, Footballs, Posters, etc) plus a pic with them from either their camera or your own. I got an official game ball signed, a mini helmet, 8x10s and added Pouha & Maybin to my Jets football from the last charity event. Plus they fed us all the cupcakes & pastries you can eat! $40 for a great charity! The event was Match For Michael as it was a great charity to donate to. You can see the event details and how to donate at http://www.matchformichael.com. |
