Presidential Hopeful Mitt Romney, Jonah Hill, Hugh Jackman & New York Knicks! - New York, NY 12/31/2011
User kianz met a bunch of celebrities and sent us in these great photos!! Jonah Hill, really cool 1-on-1 but I heard he didn't stop for 3 people before this.Mitt Romney, glady signed and took a pic 1-on-1 but only signed a few and didn't pix with a crowd. Hugh Jackman, really cool dude, Ira already reported on this. Also got everyone else on the team (except Baron Davis who wasn't a Knick yet), I got college 8x10s signed by almost all players, and they were all commenting on how they had never seen those pix before, and showing the pix to each other. Got over the table pix with some players but I'm not a fan of those. Also got Jerry O'Connell, Hamish Linklater, Dule Hill and Lady Gaga (again auto only from Gaga, she's the one easy person to get a photo with that I can't seem to get). Add Comment Tommy Lee in New Zealand 12/29/2011
Samantha, from www.OMGSamantha.com met Tommy Lee in New Zealand and sent us this awesome report! Motley Crue rocker Tommy Lee has arrived in New Zealand this morning with his girlfriend to spend New Years in the South Island. He's also here to perform tomorrow night in Queenstown at a New Years Eve festival with DJ Aero. Coming off a long 24-hour flight from London > LA > Auckland, Tommy walked out with his girlfriend and a woman from Air New Zealand carrying their bags. I approached him with my camera and asked for a photo. He flashed me a huge smile and said "sure!". As I reached my arm out to take a self blast photo, Tommy grabbed me in a hug and an Air NZ assistant grabbed my camera to take the photo. Unfortunately, the photo came out dark as the flash didn't go off (need to invest in a new camera! anyone recommend anything good? currently using a fairly recent sony model) but luckily, I got another which came out looking great. I thanked him, wished him and his girlfriend a happy new year and hoped they enjoyed their visit to NZ before going off. Motley Crue are one of my all time fav bands so this was big for me. I was surprised with how sweet and kind he was, suspecting he'd be tired after his long trek from Europe. His girlfriend Sofi seemed equally as pleasant as well. More about Tommy's visit and more can be found on my website: http://www.omgsamantha.com Hugh Jackman - New York, NY 12/29/2011
User mrira met Hugh Jackman in NYC and sent us this awesome report. Since I've been so preoccupied with school the past few weeks I figured I would try & close out the year trying to get Hugh Jackman (X-Men Trilogy, Wolverine). I got to the location at about early there were a lot of people waiting, but luckily all the women there regularly waited there for him & he always stopped. Hugh arrived at the location at not long after he arrived & was very nice, I got a photo & an auto on a piece one of the women there gave me. WWE Report 12/29/2011
User class316 met some WWE superstars and sent us this report. It is rare that I do WWE Meeting these days, but I do have a couple of spots that I stick to and whenever the opportunity comes I hit them up. I went with my top wants being Derek Bateman and Hunico. Derek Bateman was the only contestant person from NXT 1 thru 4 that I still didn't have at least one cumbo from. A secondary want was Eden Stiles, who I also never met. Luckily, I ended up scoring these 3 and then some in terms of first time meets! My first score was Bateman, and the only photo op I'll be sharing so as not to blow up the spot. He was cool and friendly, more than happy to sign and take photo ops. I got him on the inside cover of the WWE_E where he inquired about my Brett Dibiase autograph. HCIT! I then had him sign my FCW program which he marked out for and said "oh wow this is an old one, where is my hair?" I also saw Mark Henry do cumbos with White people! I had no need for him though. I got a photo op with Lillian Garcia. I didn't want to ask her to sign my WWE_E because I was afraid she'd personalize. In terms of autographs I got on their WWE_E entries Dean Malenko Ezekiel Road Dog Jesse James Goldust Two of those have stories behind them. For Goldust, I politely asked him for an auto and he said yes. Then I whipped out my TNA program to which he replies "not that one". Since I preferred to get an auto rather than argue with him, I had him sign my WWE_E. Mission to Virgilize the Golden one failed yet again. I really cannot comprehend why others seem to get Black Reign in both a Meeting setting and paid setting yet I cannot In terms of Malenko, when someone asked him for a photo op he goes "sorry I'm sick" then I ask for an autograph and he agrees to it. When I opened the WWE_E page, much to my horror he puts his pen on Debra's entry. I almost thought he was gonna pull a Virgil on me. But he draws what looks like a horn on her head then says "tramp" and proceeded to sign his entry. I was like HAEH On the inside cover of the WWE_E I also got Hunico, Hunico's manager, Epico, Brodus Clay, and Jindar Mahal. Brodus Clary I also got on the FCW program which he goes "ohh wow". HCIT! In what is now rare move from me, I got Sheamus on a figure. It was either that or let him pass by. He said he'd do one per person. He personalized them all, but I deleted my name. For some reason expo did not work well on Mattel figures. But Goo Gone worked good. As Sheamus did that Drew Mcintyre just walked away. Michael Cole I got on a promo I've had for ages and for some reason never got signed. I told him "vintage Michael Cole" when I approached him with the promo. Photo ops I got that were not first time meets Titus O Neil Both Usos Epico Vickie Guerrero Daniel Bryan Dolph Ziggler Zack Ryder Ezekiel Jindar Mahal Maxine Brodus Clay Rosa Mendes Rosa as usual told me hello like she recognized me. HCIT! Mark Henry, Miz, Evan Bourne, Matt Striker, Naomi, Brooklyn Brawler, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Ted Dibiase, Drew Mcintyre, Booker T, Josh Mathews, and Bill Demott are some of the people that passed by and I got nothing from. This time around Mark Henry wasn't so nice and gave us yet another priceless quote. Since he was nice earlier someone gave me his program, and me and two others approached him. He goes "you might as well stop". Now for the first time photo ops. I already mentioned Derek Bateman. I got a photo op with Eden Stiles who I had never met. And I also got Hunico another top want of mine. He was as nice as can be. Got his photo op. Same with him manager, I got a photo op with him, and nice as can be. Now for some FCW folks I got, again first time meets. I got Dean Ambrose. Overall it was awesome and fruitful. I so miss the friendliness of wrestling compared to celebs. Honestly, the only ones that gave a hard time were Dean Malenko, Mark Henry, and Goldust, and even those 3 were not 110% assholes. Though Drew walked away I'm sure he would have done something if anyone actually asked. The black mark was somehow missing Aksana and Tamina who were walking together. Though nothing I really needed from them, I would have liked a photo op with Dark haired Aksana. Hopefully the next time I do WWE there will be an updated WWE_E, this way I don't have to let so many people just pass by me. Lucas' MMA Expo Report - New York City 12/19/2011
User latinoheat578 sent us this awesome report from the MMA Expo that took place in NYC. Enjoy! Before I begin... a HUGE THANKS to Marcus for helping me out over the weekend with 8x10s I needed, signatures I couldn't get on Sunday and for taking my pics since I was a fool and left for the Expo without my camera... Not going to get into the report part of it since JWILL did a fantastic job covering it from beginning to end the whole weekend. Also, I have mostly all of the same items signed as him so no need to show those but If you haven't read his report, check it out: viewtopic.php?t=8959&p=144944#p144944 I only did Day 1: Dan Severn - fantastic and friendly as always. Prices are ridiculously cheap. I really wanted a signed glove but he didn't bring any. Gave me his card to go to his site instead. Items signed: 8x10, UFC ENCY Jim Miller Items signed: 8x10, UFC ENCY Dan Miller Joey "The Raging Warrior" Gambino Lee Kemp - Collegiate wrestler & 3-time World Champion. He earned a berth on the 1980 Olympic team, but was unable to compete because of the U.S. boycott of the Olympics. He also won three NCAA Division I titles Item Signed: 8x10 JImmy Pedro - He won bronze medals in the 1991 and 1995 World Championship Olympics Item Signed: 8x10 Phil Nurse Louis "Goodnight" Gaudinot - from the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter Item Signed: 8x10 Bobby Lashley - I had him virgilized but my last photo with him was back from 2007. I figured why not, esp with the cost that an updated photo would be in order. I wanted to change it up a bit and opted for a 'face off' pose. After the photo, he told me he smelled fear... ahaha.. he was awesome ! Item signed: 8x10 (MMA promo) Matt Serra - no photo since I've met him countless times. However this was the 1st time I had seen him since the ENCY came out. Items Signed: ENCY Randy Couture - no photo since I had a few with him already. I didn't want to purchase the book since my main reason for wanting him was to get him in the ENCY. I decided to hang out until his signing was over. As he got up to leave, I saw him grab a sharpie and held it. I figured it had to be a good sign. He walks out of the cage and looks over. I show him the ENCY and ask him if he could sign it. Without skipping a beat he wals over and BOOM ! done.... he then proceeded to walk down the line and sign whatever he could as he headed towards the exit. Items signed: UFC ENCY * since the ENCY is still new to me... Marcus had asked yesterday how many sigs I have it so far since I now have over 500 in the WWE ENCY... well as of tonight I counted 56... well on my way.. ahahha MMA Expo - New York City 12/19/2011
User jwill55nets attended the MMA Expo in New York City and sent us this awesome report. I arrived at MMA Expo 2011 at about 11 AM on Saturday. I picked up my tickets, and immediately upon walking in I saw Jim Miller at the HDnet booth with a 5 person line. I got on the line and very quickly got the front. I had 2 solo shots, a previous op, and 2 other ops of me, Jim, and his brother Dan. Once he saw the Staredown op he said he thought I looked familiar, and asked how being Dana White was working for me. This completed a virgilization of Jim Miller (unless a figure is made of him, he wins a championship or writes a book). We talked a little and then I was off to my next line. I then went to Dan Severn’s line. Dan had about a 30 person line, but it was moving. While waiting Lucas and Mrs Lucas arrived. I got to the front and saw Dan was asking for small donations. If you bought anything off his table he would sign all of your personal items. I bought a $7 8x10 and a $2 fake mustache which he called a “Support the Stache Mustache” (more on this later). I got my 3 photos signed and Dan could not have been nicer. He then signed the picture I bought and took a photo with me. I asked if we could use 1 of the 3 belts he had with him as a prop, and he said sure (this was actually my first op with a title). Dan had some NWA belt with him (but not the heavyweight title), the UFC Super Fight Championship (which was the belt he had at Legends apparently), and the UFC 5 Championship. Since all the other ops I have sign of Dan have the Super Fight belt, I went with the UFC 5 one to be different. Next was Butterbean. He was being repped by Sports Fans Promotions. I got him on an 8x10 and took a photo with him. We were also informed that Angelina was no showing the event. Next was Dan Miller who immediately recognized me. He told me his son had just gotten out of the hospital and things were going well for now. Dan signed an in ring shot, my previous solo op, and both dual Miller ops. I also took a new op (cause I had my new camera with me). Also at this table was Joey Gambino who tried out for TUF 14 and made it pretty far. Got him on a photo and took an op. After that we had some downtime, and we roamed and found trainer Phil Nurse. Phil was part of GSP’s staff on Ultimate Fighter 12. He is also the coach of 2 current champs (GSP and Frankie Edgar). Next I went back to Sports Fans Promotions for former Survivor star Ashley Massaro, who seemed totally fucked up and just gave me a blank look when she asked my name and I told her. She just looked up, and goes “Marrrrrcusssss? How do you spell that?”. Got her to sign a photo, and then when I asked for a photo she told me it was extra. When I told her I paid for it she said I didn’t, then she realized she was wrong. Meeting her was exactly as everybody has explained. Next was Lee Kemp who is a 3 time gold medal winner at the World Championships of freestyle wrestling. At this point we were just looking for ways to keep busy. We were waiting to see if Couture was signing extras during the book signing. It became obvious getting an extra would be possible, so Lucas went to buy a ticket so he could get his Ency done. When we were told the price was now $55 he passed. While buying time I decided to go back to Dan Severn and put this fake stache to use. I went back over and pitched my idea of a mustache op to Severn and he loved it. He decided how we would pose and we took 2 great photos. These are my Fake Mustache Suited Dan Severn Real Mustache Suited ops. We than saw Renzo Gracie who is a former UFC fighter and coach in the IFL. I got an op and 2 autos from him. Continuing on we then saw Jimmy Pedro who is a 2 time Olympic bronze medalist. Got 2 autos from him and an op as well. At this point the Couture book signing was wrapping up. This signed was done in a cage (octogan style) and there was a rail around it. As Randy was leaving the cage he grabbed a marker off the table, Lucas caught his eye and Randy began working the rail and signing for everybody. I got him on a photo and a figure. The marker was a thick black sharpie that was dying so the autos weren’t great (I had him resign the photo later). Next was Matt Serra. We got on this rather long line and we were waiting for awhile. I got off line to go get Dan Mirgliotta on my 2 photos (completing his Virgil run). Went back to line, but Lucas and I spotted Bobby Lashley. We got off line to go to his table (Mrs. Lucas held the spot). I got an ECW pic signed by him. He asked who to sign it to, and I said nobody. He goes “Yea they are worth more on ebay that way”. I was tempted to tell him his signature isn’t worth $20 on ebay, but I kept my mouth shut. I took my picture and we went back to the Serra line. Matt is a talker so this line was pretty slow. Finally we got to the front, and Matt commented on my shirt. I took out my photos and he loved them. He asked if I sold them, when I said no he believed me. He asked me to send him one of them which I will do. No photo needed her, and Matt is now virgilized. We were almost done at the show as he just had 1 table left. We went to the MMADieHard table to meet Louis Gaudinot (of TUF 14), Gian Villante (of Strikeforce), and Zack Makovsky (Bellator Champion). Gaudinot loved my photos and we talked for awhile. He asked me to a 16x20 of one of them, which I will send later. Took a photo with him also. Then was Gian Villante who I had 1 photo for an I got a photo. Zack had not yet arrived, but I knew he would be there Sunday so that was the day. At night I had a ticket to the Randy Couture book launch party. I got to the bar promptly at 8 in a total lapse of judgment. Randy came at about 8:30, but it became obvious I was the only person who had purchased a ticket, but not a VIP ticket. This was the first night the bar was open and there were 2 private parties. The owners of the bar were having a party in the front 1/4 of the bar, and the VIP section for couture was the back 1/4 of the bar. So I had 1/2 of the bar and my own bartender to myself. I tried to go to the VIP section and was turned away by bar staff. At 10 I decided this was ridiculous after 2 hours of sitting alone. I once again went to the back but this time talked to event staff. They apologized and said they didn’t realize I was there for the signing. Randy was really cool and signed the book as well as 2 other photos, and he resigned my Oklahoma State photo. I took my op with him, and then talked with him and his rep for awhile. They told me to bring whatever I had the next day and they would take care of me. This got me thinking how I could rebound from my shitty figure auto..but I had an idea. Before I left the bar I uploaded all of my ops online and set up to have them printed for Sunday. I went back to the expo Sunday. I realized a glitch in my plan that Secaucus Junction parking would be a mess because of the Giants game, so I decided I would deal with traffic on the way to the city. I stopped at Walgreens (to get photos) and Toys R Us (to get a new Couture Figure) and I headed in to the city. Ofcourse I hit no traffic, and got in REALLY early. I found a good deal on a lot, and I walked over to the Javitz center. My main goal for the day was to get my ops signed from the day before and to get 2 more Couture autos. I quickly got Phil Nurse (virgilized). Then I got Louis Gaudinot, who remembered me from the day before. He is virgilized unless he gets a title run or a figure made. Also at that booth was Zack Makovsky (who I didn’t get the day before). I got an 8x10 signed and a pic with him (my 2nd op with a title belt). I then saw Lashley talking with 2 Hassidic Jews ( Lashley likes jews). I had a 20 minute talk with Bobby about why he left WWE and his goals for MMA, and if he would like to return to wrestling. Next I went to Lee Kemp’s table and got him on the op from Saturday (virgilized). I then went to the table of boxer Paulie Malignaggi. I got him on an 8x8 and took a photo with him. Went to Jimmy Pedro’s table and with a signed op from him virgilized him. Then went to Joey Gambino at Headrush. Had a very good talk with him about the future of MMA and particularly women’s MMA. He told me about his tryout for TUF 14, and that he expects to be fighting in the UFC by March anyway. Got my op signed by him. Next virgilized Charlie Brenneman with 3 autos including a previous op. I went back to the headrush booth and had a very good talk with Dan Miller. I got my new op signed, and virgilized him (except a book, title run, or potential figure made). We talked about his foundation, and we went back and forth with ideas. Hopefully I will be working with the foundation in the future to help them sell autographs online. I then got Chris Weidman on my prior op, which finished all of the photos I had with me except for my Couture op. I went over to the cage where the signing was. The rep saw me and immediately, by name, called me into the cage. I got Couture to sign the photo, and they asked what else I had. I took our my new figure and I got it signed in silver and it looks great. Randy said that he hadn’t signed many of these. This was a great weekend, and the event really panned out. I plan to attend it next year for sure. This was very fruitful and I got all of my photos signed I had printed except for like 4 (because Angelina no showed, and I was hopefully a few other fighters would show up but they didn’t). Also for anybody who likes MMA apparel I would suggest going on day 2. Headrush had all of their shirts for $35 on day 1. In the last few hours of day 2 they were all on sale for $10-20. NFL Legend Lawrence Taylor - New Jersey 12/19/2011
Member latinoheat578 met Giants legend Lawrence Taylor and sent us this awesome report! Today I was planning on going to the LT appearance in NJ. The setup was that LT was doing a Q&A. The cost of the event was $86 and included a meet/greet with him after it was over. At first the general consensus was that a photo was not necessarily a guarantee. (NO PHOTO, NO LUCAS) Over the weekend I was told by the promoter that I could spend the $86 and definitely get a photo. $86 quite honestly seemd a bit steep for me for a photo opp.. If I wanted an autograph it would have been a separate price. I had decided at that time I was going to skip the event. TOday I woke up and headed out to do some errands and some Xmas shopping. I was wrapping up around 1pm and decided to head over to see if LT was still there. The website said it would be from 10-2pm.. I figured worse case LT would be gone to watch the game live at the Stadium. I pull into the lot at 1:20... head inside and almost literally bump into LT. He was with his jacket on, taking photos with the staff. What timing !!!! Camera flashes go off and he turns around right into Michelle and I . I asked if we could trouble him for a quick photo and he was more than accommodating. After my photo, I told him he deserves to be in the WWE HOF which he laughed and said thank you. Turns out he's still a wrestling fan. I thanked him and we headed out. Total time at the appearance = 90 seconds... HCIT !?!? I was thrilled I decided to go to this. Bummed I didn't have something to get signed but the pic was key. 2011 I met Phil Simms and LT... my 2 fave Giants of all time !!! Dibiase Posse Party - Long Island, NY 12/17/2011
Today was the day we've been hyping up for a while, the Long Island Dibiase Posse Party event. I told everybody this would be a great time and it did not disappoint. We arrived to the venue and were greeted by Bobby Riedel and were told where to go. The crowd was a little late to arrive, so the first 30 mins were slow, but then the event picked up. Bobby and I discussed this event in great detail in the week leading up to this event, so going in I knew what to expect and when to expect it, which put me in good position for the video aspects of this report, which I think really shine. The event started in an eating area where Ted came in and mingled with the fans. We then moved into the main room which Bobby opened up by thanking the church, MarkedOut.com, and his personal shrink Brett Schwan for helping him pull off this event. We then watched a clip of a Ted Dibiase documentary before Ted eventually came out and entertained the crowd. To follow was a Q/A session, a speech by Ted, and a really fun Karaoke contest, judged by Ted's surprise friends Daniel Bryan and Hornswoggle. I knew all week Ted was likely to bring other talent with him, but it wasn't until this morning that I knew the exact names and I knew the crowd would really mark out for them. When the event was over we approached Ted, got our photos, and I introduced myself to him. Ted was extremely grateful for my help in advertising and discussing the show plans with Bobby beforehand and he gladly signed my 5 items, and Lanza's 7. I then asked if he would mind shooting a video for MarkedOut.com and he was more than happy to do it. He thanked us again and told us how blown away he was with the party, and we went on our way. It was great to work with Bobby on this event, and he really outdid himself. The event was a great time once it got rolling and it was just as historic as he had promised, I was happy MarkedOut.com could be a part of it. Well done Bobby! User class316 met a ton of celebrities and sent us this awesome report! Enjoy! So I readied myself for another epic weekend of meets. Of course it had its ups and downs. Meryl Streep was a bitch like she usually is. She briefly signed one round and besides that ignored everyone the whole weekend. I was fortunate to get a single auto. Anne Hathaway though another mean bitch was a little better than Streep. I got an auto from her as well. Lionel Richie, John Lithgow, Kevin Clash, Kevin Kline, and Emily Blunt were all super cool. Glenn Close did autos only but luckily I had a photo op from before. Kevin Kline is actually a decent name as he was in A Fish Called Wanda and the first Pink Panther starring Steve Martin. And Kevin Clash, while a WHO name at first glance and is best known for Elmo on Sesame Street, is actually a name I would have paid $10 for a photo op at Chiller or WW. He was also the voice of Splinter in the first two TMNT movies and he voiced Baby Sinclair in one of my favorite shows, Dinosaurs. Day 1 of meets ended with a HUGE unexpected score. None other than JOHN WILLIAMS! He also only stopped for ONE round the whole weekend, did nothing any other time. I got his autograph on photo paper and I had to really beg for the photo op telling him how much I would love it etc etc. When he was quickly signing he said "one more picture and I'm gone" and he took the photo op with me! He did only two other photo ops besides mine, one of which was with a cute girl and the other he was looking down at the floor. So this yet another slap in the face for all you naysayers who criticize my begging and say it's low to do so, I got JOHN FUCKING WILLIAMS! And one of the only ones to do so! Note: while it looks like Tracy Ullman is not a posed shot she actually did stop signing and looked at my camera to take the photo op with me. Day 2 was off to an early start. I was almost tempted to get 20 minutes more of sleep. But then I thought to myself, I better not, cause you never know. I got there early and there were two other people besides me, and one who came after I did. Then who do we see so early? ROBERT DI NIRO! With only FOUR people he gladly posed for photo ops and signed autographs. I got one of the four photo ops he posed for the WHOLE weekend, as every other round he only did a handful of autos no photo ops. Yet more proof that I don't blow smoke with "you never know" cause in truth, you just never know! This of course makes Woodmo jealous. I also got Stanley Tucci and Virgilized Matthew Broderick. Sarah Jessica Parker was impossble for photo ops but I got two autographs from her (one of the few to get more than one) Sadly, my day was cut short by a Jew (the same one that taught me the lemonade trick). The security guard was warning people that he would start expelling, then at one point people were crowding up for Lionel Richie. I was behind him to which he yelled, "don't push" (which I wasn't doing) then the security guard chose to make an example out of me and said I had to leave. He just happened to be standing there when the guy casually muttered me "don't push". Of course he didn't INTEND to get me booted, but him muttering those words did just that. Whilst I did miss a bit after that (namely another chance at Anne Hathaway and some Bill Cosby virgilization) I wasn't really upset cause honestly, just ONE of John Williams or Robert Di Niro would have been worth the entire weekend. I got both! And most people didn't even get photo ops with either one of them, much less BOTH of them. Actually, I was the only one that I know or heard of that got BOTH these photo ops. Both of them literally did 7 photo ops combined, and two of those were mine! User class316 met a bunch of celebrities and sent us this awesome report. Thought I'd whip up a consolidated report for a few more meets TV Legend and RAW guest host Bob Barker: I got him on a couple of 8x10s and the RAW entry of the WWE_E Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger (Former members of The Doors): You can see the album I got done. Though Robbie isn't looking straight at the camera, he did the same thing for someone else's photo op. Glenn Close: I know her best as Cruella de Vil in the 101 Dalmations movie (as well as 102 Dalmations). I also met Clint Eastwood, sadly photo ops were not possible. I attended the Bill Clinton book signing. Again no photo ops but I got a couple of books signed: And finally, I went for the band VNV Nation. Probably a WHO name for most, as they're not so big. But first time I got them was at a signing years ago before I went digital. So I had to upgrade my shitty photo op and did just that. Both Mark Jackson and Ronan Harris were friendly as can be. After the concert they came out the front, mingled with fans, signed autos, took photo ops, chatted with everyone. I actually went for those two after my latest epic weekend, so seeing those two friendly faces after seeing the Streeps and Hathaways of the world was truly a refreshing breath of fresh air. I got single and dual photo ops. | This is a small glimpse of the reports our users submit to us about their encounters. If you want to read all of our reports, view our report section on the forum.
